Hennepin County is preparing to close two roads in western Hennepin County near the Crow River due to flooding later today, June 21.

County Road 50 between Highway 55 in Rockford and County Line Road in Delano
County crews are monitoring the roads and anticipate closing them when they are no longer safe for traffic. Crews will fully close the lanes ahead of the flooded area using barricades. Temporary digital messages signs will also be onsite to alert people that the road ahead is closed.
Be aware that the exact location and timing of the closure may change as water levels increase or recede. Never go around barricades; it is illegal and dangerous to travel through closed roads. Driving through a road covered with water is not safe for vehicles and can damage the road. Crews will remove the barricades and reopen the roads when they are safe for traffic.
