Each year, Hennepin County applies for federal funding on behalf of our partner nonprofits, through the Continuum of Care (CoC) program competition.
The Hennepin/Minneapolis Continuum of Care (MN-500) is seeking new project pre-applications for possible inclusion in the 2024 application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD).
Hennepin CoC encourages organizations that have not received CoC funding in the past to apply. Applications from organization that are currently receiving CoC funding or have in the past, are also encouraged to apply. Hennepin CoC and HUD provide limited technical assistance to ensure that the process is accessible to all eligible applicants.
Eligible project types
Hennepin CoC is seeking applications for the following project types:
- Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
- Supportive Services for Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
- Permanent Supportive Housing- Rapid Rehousing (RRH)
Priorities
Funding will be prioritized for projects serving:
- Families experiencing homelessness
- Chronically homeless single adults.
Funding will be prioritized for the following project types:
- Permanent supportive housing (PSH)
- Rapid rehousing (RRH)

Interested projects are invited to attend a Hennepin CoC New Project Application Overview Meeting. The Hennepin CoC team will present the CoC project applicant process and answer any questions.

Pre-application & budget forms must be submitted to Laura.Derosier@hennepin.us by June 28th, 2024, close-of-business. Hennepin County reserves the right to announce an extended deadline as needed.
