Special Election Day is today

Polls are open for the District 6 County Commissioner special election until 8 p.m.

Not yet registered? Don’t worry – in Minnesota, you can register at your polling place. Find a full list of acceptable proof of residence options at mnvotes.gov.

Accessible ballot marking devices are available at all polling places in Hennepin County. Find more information about accessible voting at mnvotes.gov.   

Return your absentee ballot  

Absentee ballots must arrive by Election Day to be counted. Absentee ballots can be dropped off until 8 p.m. on Election Day to:  

Results

After the close of polls at 8 p.m., the election results are combined and posted to the State Election Reporting System. State law prohibits the release of polling place results until all absentee ballots for that precinct have been counted and combined with polling place totals. Results reported on election night are unofficial and may be adjusted in the days following Election Day, prior to the canvassing board meeting.
