Dear providers,
In response to the Change Healthcare cybersecurity issue impacting Hennepin Health’s ability to receive claims, Hennepin Health is now working with Availity for clearinghouse services and is able to accept claims submitted through Availity. Any claims files previously submitted on or after Feb. 21 to Hennepin Health will need to be submitted via Availity.
To get started with Availity, please review this information:
- Providers can enroll directly with Availity, or the provider’s clearinghouse can enroll with Availity. More information on how to enroll, including training demonstrations and FAQs, can be found here: A Guide for Connecting to Lifeline Payers (availity.com)
- Providers using Availity can submit Hennepin Health claims and receive 835’s (Electronic Remittance Advices).
- Providers should use MN-ITS for member eligibility verification as 270/271 transactions are not available through Availity.
- Timely filing deadlines will be extended 60 days due to the Change Healthcare issue impacting claims.
