 Vote in the primary on April 30 and the general on May 14
A vacancy for County Commissioner, District 6 will be filled by special election. Hennepin County District 6 contains areas of Deephaven, Edina, Excelsior, Greenwood, Hopkins, Long Lake, Minnetonka, Minnetonka Beach, Mound, Northern Eden Prairie, Orono, Shorewood, Spring Park, Tonka Bay, Woodland, and Wayzata.
How to vote
You can vote in-person or by absentee ballot. Visit mnvotes.gov/pollfinder to confirm your polling place.
Special election timing
The special primary election is on April 30 and the special general election is on May 14. Plan ahead for how and when you will vote. If you plan to vote by mail, Hennepin County Elections recommends returning your ballot in-person to avoid potential mailing delays.
To be counted, your ballot must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
District 6 Special Election Dates
- April 12: Absentee voting opens
- April 30: Special primary. Polls open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- May 14: Special election day. Polls open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
