2023 gov report

I’m excited to share our 2023 Governing Report with you. It outlines results and accomplishments my office has delivered on behalf of Hennepin County residents by promoting innovation and implementing innovative solutions. I am grateful to residents, community partners, county staff, and my colleagues for their work and dedication. Community Updates

Make a Difference In Your Community: Apply to Serve on a Community Advisory Board

The Hennepin County Board is recruiting volunteers for 30 advisory board positions. Each fall, the board accepts applications from residents interested in volunteer service positions on advisory boards, commissions, councils, and special task forces. Appointees advise commissioners and help set policy on a variety of topics including mental health, economic support and development, workforce and employment opportunities, racial equity, diversity and inclusion, and so much more.

The deadline to apply is December 29. Appointments will be made in the first quarter of 2024. Learn more and apply at hennepin.us/advisoryboards.

New Services Now Offered at North Minneapolis Service Center

The North Minneapolis Service Center has expanded its service offerings. In addition to driver’s licenses, identification cards, and vital records, this location is now able to process motor vehicle and DNR transactions, including:

  • License plates
  • Vehicle registration, tabs, titles
  • Boat and watercraft registration
  • All-terrain vehicle registration

The North Minneapolis Service Center is located at 1001 Plymouth Ave. North, Minneapolis, MN 55411. It is open Monday – Friday from 8AM to 4PM. Visit hennepin.us/servicecenters for more information.
