My Hennepin County Commissioner colleagues and I had the great of honor of meeting with US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra last week at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center in North Minneapolis to discuss Medicaid re-enrollment, which is ongoing in the coming months.
I am grateful for our strong partnerships across federal, state, and county levels of government, as well as out community based health providers like NorthPoint which will ensure that Medicaid recipients won't slip through the cracks.
If you are one of the 1.5 million Minnesotans up for renewal this year, don't hesitate to refer to the MN Department of Human services website. You can look up when your renewal takes place, report address and phone number changes to keep in touch, and sign up to receive text message reminders.
Make sure to open any mail with the "blue dot", respond to that text message, or take that phone call from MN DHS to aide renewal and avoid coverage lapse.

They covered a wide array of topics, including housing, public safety, mental health, the opioid crisis, and small business partnerships.
