Hennepin County accepting applications for community advisory board vacancies

Share your voice and help shape policy

The Hennepin County Board is recruiting volunteers for 9 community advisory board positions.

These positions are currently open and in need of volunteers. Appointees to the community advisory board use their knowledge and experience to advise Hennepin County commissioners and help set policy on a variety of topics. Applications will be accepted now through May 1.

 

Current openings

  • Community Action Partnership (CAP) – two vacancies for local, elected officials
  • County Extension Committee (University of Minnesota Extension) – one vacancy
  • Mental Commitment Attorney Panel Advisory Board – one vacancy for citizen attorney
  • Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Board – five vacancies

Application process

  • Now through May 1 – apply on the Community Advisory Board website
  • In May – the county board will hear applicants’ interview statements
  • At a following board meeting the county board will appoint volunteers to the positions.
