Mark your calendar for a one-hour, virtual event to refresh your knowledge on recycling and organics recycling! This is a continuing education event for Master Recycler/Composter volunteers and attendance counts as one hour toward your MRC volunteer commitment.
Table at Medina Celebration Day

The City of Medina is looking for MRCs to staff their recycling/organics table display at the Medina Celebration Day event.

Waste monitor at the Altlawns Buzz Fest
Saturday, September 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Moir Park, 10320 Morgan Ave S. Bloomington
Altlawns is seeking MRCs to monitor recycling and organics collection receptacles and educate attendees about recycling at their annual sustainable landscaping education event, Buzz Fest. The planning team is looking forward to learning from MRCs to improve this and future events. The event will include tabling, talks, demonstrations, and a food truck.

Table and/or waste monitor at the SE Como Cookout
Saturday, October 8 from noon to 3 p.m. (Rain date: October 9)
Van Cleve Park, 901 15th Ave SE. Minneapolis
Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling and the Southeast Como Improvement Association (SECIA) are looking for a couple MRCs to help monitor waste stations and man an educational table at the SE Como Cookout. Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling staff will be at the event and need some help between tabling and checking waste stations. This event offers the opportunity to educate a lot of permanent residents in addition to University of Minnesota students.

Reuse Minnesota REUSE22 conference
Tuesday, October 4 at University of St. Thomas Schulze Hall, Minneapolis

REUSE22 educates, inspires, and connects professionals in the reuse, repair, and rental sectors. The event offers informative keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities geared toward strengthening and expanding the reuse economy.
REUSE22 will bring together thought leaders and experts across multiple disciplines. This includes business professionals, nonprofit agencies, government workers, and students.
Thanks to the generosity of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, we have 20 conference scholarships! This program allows students, interns, and those with financial need, the opportunity to experience the conference without the financial burden of the registration fee.
