Required training

New 'Data Security' training now available for all employees to take

As cyber criminals adopt more aggressive tools for breaking through our systems, Hennepin County is launching a new required "Data Security" training to help employees spot phishing and other attacks. All employees must complete the training by September 30. Please inform your staff! They will see the information in Hennepin County News tomorrow.

See "Second required 'Data Security' training has launched."

Remind employees that cool spaces to work are available

If you have staff who do not have access to air conditioning during this heat wave, then remind them that they may work from a collaborative work center. There are two collaborative work centers: Ridgedale and the Government Center. Please also remind them to book the space.

Learn more about the collaborative work center.

Your employees may have questions...

In open enrollment last fall, employees were able to choose to cash out paid time off or vacation. Those amounts will appear in employee checks on August 5. Human Resources is sending reminders to employees who opted in, but some people may have forgotten their choice and have questions.

Here's some information to help: "PTO/vacation cashout is August 5, 2022."

News

Potential team activity

Volunteer to help Elections Office

In tomorrow's Hennepin County News, employees will learn about a volunteer event, helping the Elections Office to process absentee ballots for the August 9 primary. This could be a good team activity to consider for your team.

To help leaders balance workloads, employees must consult with their supervisor before they volunteer.

See "Elections needs you to process absentee ballots."
