Making eBooks accessible

Libby settings

The Libby app makes eBooks accessible in a number of ways. The app provides a font to help dyslexic readers and allows you to change any font size to large print. The interface is available in 10 languages and the app supports screen readers for those with visual impairments. You can read and listen with read-along eBooks as well. Read eBooks in the way that suits you best!

Catalog tip: Borrowing history

Your public library does not keep records of your borrowing history. You, however, can choose to turn on the Borrowing History feature in your My HCL settings. The public catalog will gather a list of the titles you borrow that will only be visible to you. The feature is not retroactive and begins with the first item you return after you enable the setting.

Online resources: Newspapers

newspapers

Read a variety of Minnesota and national newspapers through the library website. Some content is historical, some includes full-text articles published as recently as a few weeks or months ago. Log in to My HCL and choose a newspaper from our online resources.
