February Newsletter from Hennepin County Commissioner Kevin Anderson

February 2021

Thank you for reading the Hennepin County District 7 Newsletter! As a new Commissioner, the first month in office has been a growing experience. After being sworn in, my fellow commissioners entrusted me as chair of the Public Works Committee and vice-chair of the Human Services Committee. These duties represent the core of what I believe are the county’s top priorities: ensuring our infrastructure needs are being met and taking care of the most vulnerable among us. I’ve also been meeting with the Hennepin History Museum and the Community Action Partnership as representative to their respective boards.

I made a commitment to be accessible and to listen residents in my district, and so I’ve been spending evenings attending city council meetings and listening to the priorities being expressed locally. I’m excited to work in partnership with so many committed leaders across this district! The county’s work never rests, and below are several of the things happening that have an impact to all of us. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to my office!
