Five-day closure on Plymouth Road starts Monday

Situation

Starting Monday, October 26, county crews will close Plymouth Road (County Road 61) between Bridge Street and south of Rutledge Circle in Minnetonka.

The closure is needed for crews to replace a stormwater system running underneath Plymouth Road.

Closure timing

Weather permitting, the work is expected to take five days to complete.

Detour and access

During the closure, people driving should use the following route:

  • Minnetonka Boulevard (County Road 5)
  • Hopkins Crossroad (County Road 73)
  • Cedar Lake Road

People walking, biking and rolling will need to use the detour route or other alternative routes, but will need to remain outside of the construction area.

Construction activities continue when road reopens

When the road reopens, crews will return to complete additional drainage work in the area.

This additional work will be completed under traffic and we will maintain access for people driving, walking, rolling and biking. We ask that people slow down and stay alert as they drive through the work area.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to take up to a week to complete.
