Shady Oak Road (County Road 61) in Minnetonka and Eden Prairie
Work begins this week
Starting this week, the week of June 15, Hennepin County crews plan to restrict traffic lanes on Shady Oak Road (County Road 61) between Excelsior Boulevard (County Road 3) in Minnetonka and City West Parkway in Eden Prairie for pavement work.
For this project, we are adding a protective layer to the pavement. When that work is done, crews will restripe the pavement. The existing lane configuration will remain when work is complete.
Due to the nature of this work and the weather, the exact start and finish dates may vary. Weather permitting, this pavement work is expected to be completed within the week.
Pavement work to impact traffic – expect delays
The majority of the work will be completed alongside traffic. This means people can continue to use the road. You should expect delays and day-to-day traffic configuration changes when traveling through the area.
Flaggers may also be on site to help guide people driving on Shady Oak Road.
