Arcola, Noerenberg and Hendrickson bridges in Orono

Routine inspection of three Lake Minnetonka bridges week of June 1

During the week of June 1, bridge crews will inspect three Lake Minnetonka bridges in Orono. The three bridges are:

  • Arcola Bridge on Shoreline Drive (County Road 15)
  • Noerenberg Bridge on North Shore Drive (County Road 51)
  • Hendrickson Bridge on North Shore Drive

Typically done every one or two years, these inspections allow our engineers and technicians to thoroughly examine the bridge. They will check the bridge condition and determine if preventative maintenance work is needed.

Timing

Crews may be on site as early as Monday morning, June 1. Inspections will occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Crews plan to begin with Arcola Bridge and follow with Noerenberg and Hendrickson bridges.

Weather permitting, all three inspections should be complete within the week.

Access and traffic impacts

The bridges will remain open to traffic for the duration of this work.

Crews will be on site with large inspection equipment, so people can expect signs and cones on site to guide you around the work area.

For everyone’s safety, please exercise caution and slow down as you travel through the area.
