February 19, 2020 (Minneapolis) – The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff David Hutchinson will host the first event in a planned quarterly town hall series on Wednesday, March 4th at the Rockford High School Auditorium. At each town hall event, the public is invited to hear Sheriff Hutchinson and a panel of experts speak on a public safety topic and answer questions from the audience.

For this first town hall event, Sheriff Hutchinson discuss his first year in office, upcoming initiatives for the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, and the roll of School Resource Officers. The second town hall, to be held in May at the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol headquarters, will focus on water safety.

“I would like to invite everyone from Rockford, the surrounding area, and Hennepin County as a whole to join us for our first town hall,” said Sheriff David Hutchison. “This will be a great for the public to hear the latest news from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. As an agency, we are excited to hear from the people of Hennepin County about what public safety questions are on their minds.”

The town hall event will be held Wednesday, March 4, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Rockford High School Auditorium, 7600 County Rd 50, Rockford, MN 55373. This event is open to all. Attendees are asked to park in the west parking lot and enter the auditorium directly via the exterior doors.
