Meet Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson at the Minnesota State Fair

August 22, 2019 (St. Paul) - The Minnesota State Fair gives members of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office a unique opportunity to meet and greet the public from all over Minnesota.

On opening day, Fairgoers will have an opportunity to take selfies with Sheriff David Hutchinson, receive free Sheriff’s Office swag, and explore a HCSO squad car.

“For the next twelve days members of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office will be stationed at the Minnesota State Fair, along with our law enforcement partners,” said Hennepin County Sheriff David Hutchinson. “We want to educate the public on safety and tell people about our newest public safety initiatives. These include our S.T.O.P program to curb opioid overdoses, and our W.I.S.E program, which offers discounted swim lessons.”

Come Meet Sheriff David Hutchinson
WHEN: Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: HCSO State Fair booth, behind the Leinie Lodge Bandshell Stage at the fairgrounds.

During the fair the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office will be passing out free drug disposal bags as part of our ongoing mission to combat drug addiction and overdose deaths. For more information on how the Sheriff’s Office is stopping overdoses, visit HennepinSheriff.org/STOP

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office has also partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) who will set up shop next to the Sheriff’s booth.

Law Enforcement partners take over HCSO booth
On Friday August, 23rd, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office will take over the HCSO booth.
On Wednesday August 28th, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office will take over the HCSO booth.
On Thursday, August 29th, the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office will take over the HCSO booth.
