Suspect in custody for bomb threat at Hennepin County facility
May 8, 2019 (Minneapolis) - A man suspected of calling in a bomb threat at a Hennepin County Public Works facility in Medina is now in custody. He was arrested by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday afternoon, Hennepin County dispatchers received a call about the alleged threat at the Hennepin County facility located at 1600 Prairie Drive.
After dispatchers received the call, Medina Police, Corcoran Police, and Hennepin County Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter and searched the area. The agencies determined that the threat was not credible.
The suspect is now in the Hennepin County Jail pending charges. The case remains under investigation.
