Drug Take Back Day

Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, April 27, Hennepin County participated in the Drug Enforcement Administration Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Hennepin County Sheriff’s deputies collected almost 140 pounds of unwanted medications that residents dropped off at three Hennepin County sites. The county offers these twice-yearly collection events to prevent prescription drugs -- including opioids -- from getting into the wrong hands, or harming the environment.

Learn about ways to responsibly dispose of medications year-round.

Read about safely storing the medications you need.

Transportation Corner

Transportation activities have begun to pick up. A few bigger efforts are already underway. This year, Hennepin County has piloted an online map as a companion piece. Click on the tabs across top to move from district to district. And, click on the buttons on the left to see the locations for each category. Then, click on each individual dot or line to get more information about that project.

For any of the projects that have major impacts on traffic, activities and locations are listed on hennepin.us/roadmaintenance.
