Starting Monday, April 8, we will begin the Bottineau Boulevard (County Road 81) landscape project between Abbott Avenue and I-94 in Robbinsdale, Crystal and Brooklyn Park.
As part of this project, more than 8,500 shrubs and perennials, and more than 65 trees will be planted throughout the corridor.
Activities and timeline
Crews will be working along boulevards at various intersections and on medians to:
- Remove existing sod and soils
- Install new irrigation systems and make soil improvements
- Plant trees, shrubs and perennials
Work will be completed in sections on Bottineau Boulevard starting at Abbott Avenue and working north towards I-94.
Weather permitting, the project will take three-to-four months to complete.
Expect single lane restrictions
During this project, people driving on Bottineau Boulevard should expect temporary, single lane restrictions where crews are working.
Traffic control devices such as signs and cones will be used to guide you around the work. For your safety and the safety of our crews, please exercise caution and slow down as you travel through the project area.
