Project background

Called Webber 44 for short, this project includes a segment of County Road 152 made up of a portion of 44th Avenue North, Webber Parkway and Lyndale Avenue North, as well as a small segment of Humboldt Avenue North (County Road 57). This project is looking for roadway and streetscape improvements that will improve the safety, usability, and feel of the corridor.

Beginning in April 2018, this project began with gathering existing conditions from the community and stakeholders. Hennepin County (the lead agency on tis county road project) moved into creating different preliminary design options of the roadway. The community then was able to view and comment on these designs.

Over the last few months, the county has been refining the layout to address specific concerns received during the draft layout design open house, addressing concerns such as parking and bike lanes.

The February 13 open house is an opportunity for the public to view these changes up close and share any comments or feedback. The layout and other materials are currently available to view on the project website, www.hennepin.us/webber44

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2020.
