The Hennepin County Government Center parking garage will close to the public October 1 – November 19 for a planned construction project. The entrance to this parking garage is on Third Avenue South between Fifth and Sixth streets.
The construction project includes repairing and resealing the concrete floors, repairing the concrete walls and repainting lines.

- Jerry Haaf Memorial Ramp, entrances on Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South
- Government Plaza ramp, entrances on Sixth Street South, Fifth Avenue South, and Fifth Street South
- Armory ramp, entrance on Fifth Avenue South
A variety of other street parking and lot parking is available downtown.
Transit
The Metro Blue and Green lines stop at Government Plaza station. Many bus routes also stop near this location.
