Hennepin County and the City of Brooklyn Center invite you to learn more about an upcoming project on Brooklyn Boulevard (County Road 152) between 49th Avenue North and Bass Lake Road (County Road 10). Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2018.

Project staff will be on hand to provide a project overview - including anticipated project layouts and tentative construction schedule and design. This is an opportunity to meet with project staff and ask any questions you might have about the project.
About this project
The proposed reconstruction and streetscape improvements will improve roadway and intersection safety, enhance traffic operations and provide improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
Reconstruction of Brooklyn Boulevard, will include:
- Removal of existing roadway and replacement with new pavement
- New curbs, gutters and stormwater management
- New traffic signals and reconfiguration of intersections, including turn lanes
- New sidewalk on the east side and trail on the west side of the roadway
The project will also
include:

Construction of
new frontage road to connect with Lilac Drive, parallel to Highway 100

Improvements to a segment of
51st Avenue from Brooklyn Boulevard to Xerxes Avenue that
include construction of curbs and gutters, pedestrian ramps, and
reconstruction of sidewalks and driveway access points.
This project will be led by the City of
Brooklyn Center.
