July 24 is pre-registration deadline for Minnesota primary

Absentee vote today at Hennepin County Government Center

From now until Tuesday, July 24, eligible voters can save time by pre-registering to vote for the Minnesota primary, which will occur Tuesday, August 14.

Register to vote or check voter registration status.

Voters can register at their polling place on primary day, as well.

Absentee voting

Vote early in person or by mail using an absentee ballot for the primary, instead of going to the polling place August 14.

All eligible voters in Hennepin County may cast their absentee ballot in person at the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S. Sixth Street, Minneapolis. Hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with extra hours on Saturday, August 11, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Absentee in-person voting is also available at most city halls across Hennepin County and at the Early Vote Center in downtown Minneapolis at 217 S. Third Street. Each city location can accommodate voters who live in that particular city.

Eligible voters may also vote absentee by mail.
