To raise awareness among residents about the threat that emerald ash borer poses to our tree canopy and what options there are for managing ash trees, Hennepin County has created a new website and education materials.

The website is available at www.hennepin.us/ashtrees.

The following materials are available to educate residents and help promote the website.

Newsletter article, social media posts, and images: Available to download from our environmental education web page, under current campaigns. Customize these however you need for your communication channels.

Work with an aborist to save your trees

How to Identify Ash Trees card: We plan to distribute these at events and through other outreach efforts, and can have quantities printed for partners interested in distributing them.

To let residents know this new resource is available, we will be including information in our newsletters and through our Facebook and NextDoor channels, running ads on Facebook and Google AdWords, and sending emails to Star Tribune subscribers. These promotions will occur through the end of June.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the website or educational materials, have ideas for additional materials that would be helpful for your communications and outreach, or are interested in partnering to get the word out.
