Most Epic Family Day hosted Sunday at Target Field Station

This year's Most Epic Family Day will feature water-themed activities for kids, an outdoor showing of "Moana" with a character meet and greet, and more.

Go Outside with Hennepin County and the Minneapolis Downtown Council are hosting the event, free and open to people of all ages and abilities.

When

  • Sunday, August 13, noon - 4 p.m. 
  • Featuring 1:30 p.m. "Moana" movie showing

Where

  • Target Field Station, 335 North Fifth Street, Minneapolis 

Free activities for all

This year’s event theme is "a lake-like day in the city." Event activities include:

  • An outdoor showing of "Moana" with character meet and greet 
  • Waterslide, slip and slide and lily pad leap
  • Arts and crafts 
  • Lawn games
  • Face painting and glitter hair
  • Balloon artist
  • Mini golf
  • Hennepin County Library: story time and library cards
  • Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge: bubble making and storm drain outreach materials to relay the message of keeping our water clean

Getting there

  • Parking is available in Target Field Station ramp and on the street.
  • Target Field Station is serviced by METRO Blue and Green lines, bus routes and the North Star Commuter Rail. Learn more
