Bloomington and St. Louis
Park Ward One voters will cast their ballots in the 2017 municipal primary on
Tuesday, August 8, for city council races.
Elections officials
will check in voters using a secure e-poll book system. This is the
second election cycle to use these systems in Hennepin County. In 2016, more
than 322,000 Hennepin County voters successfully checked in using this
method, which replaces the paper check-in process
Vote early through August 7
Residents can vote absentee
now through August 7 by mail or in person at city hall.
Absentee vote by mail
The first step is to submit
an absentee ballot application.

- Pick up in person from city hall, school district or
county elections office
- Receive via mail by contacting the city hall, school
district or Hennepin County Elections Office, who will mail an application
to you
Unregistered voters will
also receive voter registration materials with the absentee ballot.
Instructions for submitting completed ballots are included with the blank
ballot.
Absentee vote in person
In person absentee voting is available now through August
7 at Bloomington and St. Louis Park city halls.
Eligible voters can directly place their ballots into a ballot
counter when voting in-person the week before any election. For this primary,
those dates are August 1-7.
Regular hours: Monday - Friday,
8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Extended hours before
Election Day:
- Saturday, August 5, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
