Fix-it Clinics have kept 26,123 pounds of stuff out of trash

Since 2012, residents have fixed 3,901 items with the help of Fix-it Clinic volunteers.

To date, Hennepin County has hosted 55 free clinics, teaching valuable repair skills, building community connections and reducing the number of repairable objects thrown in the trash. Volunteers provide free, guided assistance to disassemble, troubleshoot and fix stuff.

Clinics are hosted from noon to 4 p.m. Items are accepted until 3:30 p.m.
