NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center will host its 10th See, Test & Treat, a free cervical and breast cancer screening program, on October 4, 5, and 6, at the clinic, 1313 Penn Avenue North, Minneapolis. The aim is to remove barriers to early cervical and breast cancer
detection.
The program is supported by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and funded by grants from the CAP Foundation. The event features same-day medical tests, diagnoses, and follow-up care for uninsured and underserved women who are 40 and older, all in a single visit.
Appointments are being scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. To make an appointment, call 612-767-9197 (English), 612-767-9161 (Spanish), 612-767-3120 (Hmong), and 612-767-9160 (Somali). Walk-ins are also welcome.
While women wait for their test results, they can participate in a health fair to get more healthy lifestyle tips.
Interpreters will be on-site to help patients.
