Tuesday, Aug. 9 is primary election day in Minnesota. This is an opportunity to get footage of voting before the general election.
Hennepin County anticipates the most voter turnout and newsworthy activity at certain polling places. Thus, we suggest that media visit the following locations for shooting b-roll and finding stories:
Plymouth
- Precinct 5 - Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Avenue North
- Precinct 6 - Peace Lutheran Church, 36985 County Road 101
Brooklyn Center
- Precinct 3, Evergreen Park Elementary School, 7020 Dupont Avenue North
- Precinct 7, Brooklyn Center West Fire Station, 6250 Brooklyn Boulevard
Bloomington
- Precinct 1 – MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge Center, 3815 American Boulevard
- Precinct 30 – Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 2200 Old Shakopee Road West
- Precinct 11 – Bloomington City Hall, 1800 Old Shakopee Road West
The polling places listed above will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
