County Road 101 (Bushaway Road) in Minnetonka, Wayzata and Woodland update

Bushaway Road paving begins

The contractor started paving yesterday on Bushaway Road (County Road 101) between Gray’s Bay and Eastman Lane/McGinty Road. This will ensure that people can travel between Minnetonka Boulevard and downtown Wayzata through the winter.

However, the roadway will not reopen just yet, as crews need to work on retaining walls. They will be driving sheeting for the walls just north of the causeway at the most narrow place in the road. Due to the confined working area, this work will require a crane to be parked in the road. For safety of both crews and drivers, the road remains closed to through traffic until further notice.

Construction update

Crews continue to work on several activities throughout the project corridor:

• Excavating in the railroad corridor in preparation for the shoofly, or temporary tracks (pictured below)
• Installing stone on retaining walls
• Connecting and relocating utilities
• Temporary paving of driveway aprons
• Installing permanent grass seed in many areas
