Hennepin County offers free resources to help residents Recycle Everywhere

Through a series of practical tips, tricks and supplies, as well as a Recycling VIP Sweepstakes contest with the Minnesota Twins, Hennepin County’s new Recycle Everywhere campaign is aimed at helping residents make it easier to recycle more in every room at home.

Most people do well recycling kitchen items, but half of household recyclables — items often collected in other areas of the home — never make it to the recycling bin. Expanding recycling habits into bathrooms, laundry rooms and home offices will help make a significant step toward closing the recycling gap and keep the county on track to reach its goal of recycling 75 percent of waste by 2030.

Residents can visit www.hennepin.us/recycleeverywhere to tap into Recycle Everywhere resources, including free recycling labels, a hanging bag for collecting recyclables, a recycling guide and more.

To enter the Recycling VIP Sweepstakes for a chance to tour Target Field’s recycling facilities, meet Torii Hunter and attend the Twins game on Saturday, October 3, visit the Minnesota Twins website

Remember: recycling all you can, means recycling everywhere you can.
