Increase in Residential Burglaries

Over the last several weeks, our department has seen a small increase in residential burglaries across Golden Valley. Many of these burglaries have similarities in which the unknown suspect(s) are parking a vehicle nearby and/or in the victim’s driveway and forcing entry into the rear of the house and stealing items including electronics, computers, cash, and jewelry. These burglaries are generally occurring during the daytime hours into the early evening when homeowners are away from home.

PLEASE BE ALERT TO UNFAMILIAR VEHICLES IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND PARKING IN NEIGHBORS DRIVEWAY AND CALL 9-1-1 IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU SEE OR HEAR ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS.

Possible suspect vehicles include a newer white full size pickup with a topper and an older silver Dodge Durango.
