MONTHLY BIRDING UPDATE - JUNE 2022

NATURE NOTES

June is a special month filled with new life including a wide array of hatchlings, nestlings and fledglings! Listen carefully for young birds while walking outdoors or just relaxing in your backyard. Before you head out, learn how to identify birds by sound. A trip to shallow prairie marshes and wetlands should provide views of a variety of waterfowl and water birds, along with their young. If you live in the northern two-thirds of Minnesota, consider volunteering in the Minnesota Loon Monitoring Program.

Happy birding!
