SOAR with the Eagles
The SOAR with the Eagles festival takes place each weekend during March with a variety of special programs, exhibits and events for learners of all ages to enjoy. This year’s lineup includes Flying Bird shows by Schlitz Audubon, Wings to SOAR and the World Bird Sanctuary, and presentations by the Midwest Peregrine Society, National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, Pipestone National Monument, Quarry Hill Nature Center, U.S. Fish & Wildlife and Whitewater State Park. As Minneapolis hosts the 2019 NCAA Final Four basketball championship, join Mill City Museum for Starch Madness, a cookie competition to decide the ultimate cookie champion! The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) is proud to present Pitchfest, the first Arts Entrepreneurship Competition. This is an exciting opportunity for MCAD undergraduates to stretch their creative thinking, consider how they can impact the world, and win some fantastic award money. Twenty-four applications were submitted and 12 were selected as finalists. Mentors are matched with the finalists to help them prepare for their final presentations.
