The SOAR with the Eagles festival takes place each weekend during March with a variety of special programs, exhibits and events for learners of all ages to enjoy. This historically-themed trade show was originally started by an area shooting club and had an emphasis on antique firearms. In the years since, the event has expanded to include a variety of vendors selling everything frontier-related, from buck knives to fur skin clothing. St. Patrick's Day Parade and Irish Ladies Tea & Luncheon
Even though New Ulm has the highest percentage of German ancestry of any city in the United States, on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish! The celebration begins March 16 with the Irish Ladies Tea and Luncheon featuring traditional Irish music and cuisine. St. Patrick's Day Parade
St. Peter's 2019 St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 3 p.m. at Third and Broadway, progressing south to Mulberry Street. St. Urho Days
St. Urho's Days honors Finnish heritage with amusing and humorous events. On Friday, take in an evening concert by Laulu Aika, a Finnish Folk Band in the Menahga School gym. There will also be a St. Urho look-alike contest, the crowning of the king and queen, and proclamation by the mayor. St. Patrick's Day 45th Parade & Celebration
You don't have to be Irish to appreciate all the excitement associated with this decades-long tradition voted Best St. Patrick's Day Celebration in the state of Minnesota. Dust off the lawn chairs, don your green apparel and grab your family and friends for this fun parade. Arrive early for the 6th Annual Clover Dash 5k Run/Walk. This 3.1 mile north woods loop begins and ends at the beautiful Crosslake Town Square. Flashlight Tours are back, with a twist. Participants will need to be 21 or older since this is not a tour for kids. As part of the admission fee, guests will receive a branded Glensheen Flashlight Tour pint glass with a sippy cup cover. Inside the mansion, all the lights have been turned off. Each group is accompanied by two guides who will illuminate pieces throughout the lower level, and first and second floors, allowing this rare collection to be viewed in a new way.
