Nov. 10, Two Harbors Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial Beacon Lighting On the anniversary of this tragedy, Split Rock Lighthouse commemorates the 1975 sinking of the freighter Edmund Fitzgerald and the loss of 29 crew members. The lighthouse, fog signal building and visitor center will be open. Costumed guides will greet visitors and provide historic site and shipwreck information.
