Winter yurt off the Gunflint Trail -- conditions remain very good for skiing on some Gunflint Trail ski trails
Most ski and snowmobile trails in Minnesota have either been downgraded to poor condition or have been closed due to a lack of snow. One exception is the Gunflint Trail running northwest out of Grand Marais where skiers can still find very good conditions. As always, please call ahead for the most current trail conditions before traveling. If traveling to the Gunflint Trail is not an option this weekend, consider the fast-growing sport of winter biking!

Another two or three inches of fresh snow is being groomed into the trail base. The trail base is 4-5 inches deep on average. Similar conditions can be found along the ski trails at Pincushion Mountain. Check out the web cam images from sites along the Gunflint Trail.
