Project Title: Moorhead East Growth Area AUAR
Comment Deadline: August 28, 2018
Project Description: The City of Moorhead is completing a discretionary
AUAR for over 4,000 acres in east Moorhead Township and the southern portion of
the City of Dilworth. The total build out of the project area is not
anticipated for over 20 years but is consistent with the land use pattern
described in the Moorhead Growth Area Plan (GAP). This AUAR is being prepared
to evaluate potential future growth and its associated impacts on a cumulative
basis. Comments on the Draft AUAR are due on Tuesday, August 28.

Project Title: Moorhead South Growth Area AUAR
Comment Deadline: August 28, 2018
Project Description: The City of Moorhead recognizes the need for more
detailed land use planning that facilitates development in a cohesive manner
and ensures that the public infrastructure needed to support development is
planned appropriately. The project area for the Moorhead South Growth Area AUAR
encompasses over 3,600 acres in south Moorhead Township. While total build out of
the project area is not anticipated until 2040 and beyond, the scenario
reflects the land use pattern described in the Moorhead Growth Area Plan (GAP).
Comments on the Draft AUAR are due by Tuesday, August 28.

Project Description: The City of Moorhead is updating its 2009 AUAR for
a project area that encompasses over 10,000 acres in Moorhead and Oakport
Township. The full build out by 2040 development scenario is evaluated and
reflects the land use pattern described in the Moorhead Growth Area Plan (GAP).
Two concurrent but new AUARs are also under review for different project areas
in the City of Moorhead and all three AUARs will be reviewed under the same
process. Comments on the Draft AUAR Update for the Moorhead North Growth Area
are due on Tuesday, August 28.

Gateway AUAR. The original Update was adopted in 2007 and updated in 2013. The

Notice of Environmental Impact Statement Scoping
Decision for the Huntley to Wilmarth 345 kV Transmission Line Project
The Minnesota Department of Commerce (Department)
has issued the scoping decision for the environmental impact statement (EIS) to
be prepared for the proposed Huntley to Wilmarth 345 kV transmission line
project in south central Minnesota. The EIS will be prepared on behalf of the
Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (Commission) by the Department’s Energy
Environmental Review and Analysis (EERA) staff. The EIS will address the
potential human and environmental impacts of the proposed project and
alternatives to the project. The scoping decision identifies the routing
alternatives that will be examined in the EIS. The decision also identifies the
alternatives that will not be addressed. The scoping decision and other
