Hello!
Over the past month, Minnesota State has celebrated the graduation of more than 34,000 students who, armed with their degrees, certificates, or diplomas, will bring the skills and knowledge they need to take on the challenges of the 21st century workforce. Today I am sharing with you stories of two of those graduates. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have!

 Minnesota State College Southeast Student's Remarkable Journey to Commencement
After dropping out of high school twice, Grace Horn finally graduated from an alternative high school at age 17 — the first in her family to earn a diploma. On May 16, Horn achieved another milestone: graduating from Minnesota State College Southeast with high honors.

 Campus Involvement Leads to Success for St. Cloud State University Nursing Graduate
When Ire Oyinlade started as a student at St. Cloud State University in 2020, he was only experiencing SCSU through a screen from more than 6,000 miles away in his home country of Nigeria. Five months later he arrived in St. Cloud, and after a brief bout of homesickness, became deeply engrained in campus life, ultimately achieving his goal of a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and he’s only getting started.
