I’m proud of Minnesota State’s role as the state’s workforce engine. In fact, we produce more graduates in critical, high-demand fields such as healthcare, public safety, IT, and transportation than any other higher ed institution. Truck Driving at Minnesota State College Southeast a Family Affair
In the Hale family, truck driving careers at Minnesota State College Southeast span multiple generations. Current student Mason Hale enrolled at Southeast this fall to earn his truck driving certificate. He follows in the footsteps of his dad, Justin Hale, who earned his commercial driver’s license at Southeast in 1999. But that’s not the only family connection to the program.

St. Cloud State University Student Finds Passion in Work Study Job
St. Cloud State University student Kailee Roberts has been dramatically shaped by her time working for the on-campus Public Safety Department. So much so that she now has a clear career direction she had never anticipated. Roberts originally planned to study biomedical science with the goal to be a psychiatrist. But her work study job as a patrol officer changed all that.
