Minnesota State University Moorhead Grad Student Advocates for Service Members
Lieutenant Maiah McCowan is an active-duty Air Force service member working on two master’s degrees at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). Maiah serves as a volunteer member of the Veterans Service Committee at MSUM and her career goal is to work at a VA Hospital after graduation.

Army Veteran and Dakota County Technical College Grad Helping Disabled Vets
United States Army veteran Nikolas Ybarra graduated from Dakota County Technical College in May with an associate of applied science degree. After graduation, his desire to help fellow veterans led him to the position of national service officer for the nonprofit Disabled American Veterans.
