Each December the colleges and universities of Minnesota State graduate about 18,000 students who are ready to join the workforce and contribute to Minnesota’s economy. I so enjoy hearing about the different ways our Minnesota State graduates impact the communities where they live. Today I share with you the stories of two alumni who use their educations to help keep their communities informed. Enjoy!

 St. Cloud State University Alumnus Covers Hurricane Ian for KARE-11
When Hurricane Ian hit this past fall, hundreds of lives were lost and damages upward of $50 billion were sustained. Throughout it all, St. Cloud State University alumnus Gordon Severson was on the ground to bear witness and keep viewers informed.
