Hello!
I’m immensely proud of the role Minnesota State is playing to train the Minnesota National Guard to be Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). They are being activated to help alleviate severe staffing shortages in long term care facilities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen Minnesota State colleges quickly created the courses and training programs that were needed, underscoring again the value a system of public higher education brings. Following are two examples of how the colleges went about developing the program and how the training is impacting the lives of those they serve.
Enjoy!
