Fire Prevention Specialist / Fire Inspector
The Fire Prevention Specialist/Fire Inspector enforces fire codes and city ordinances through inspections, education and emergency response. They conduct fire and life safety inspections for buildings, events and licensed facilities, investigate fire causes and provide public fire safety education. This role also includes on-call emergency response and fulfilling all duties required of an Eden Prairie Firefighter. Application deadline Oct. 28.
Police Officer
Eden Prairie police officers serve and protect the community by proactively patrolling, enforcing laws, responding to emergencies and investigating crimes. They also engage in community education on public safety issues. After one year, officers may apply for specialized assignments such as K9 officer, SWAT team member or school liaison officer. Application deadline Nov. 7.
Utility Field Operator
The Utility Field Operator maintains the community’s water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems through skilled mechanical, technical and equipment-based work. They lead and perform maintenance projects, train and mentor staff, operate heavy equipment and ensure accurate record keeping. The role also includes vehicle inspections, snow removal duties and maintaining a valid Commercial Driver’s License. Application deadline Oct. 27.
