Managing Yard Waste

Eden Prairie's Yard Waste Site is open Fridays from 2–5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 23.

You can also manage yard waste with curbside pickup (available through most trash haulers) or by composting in your backyard.

Dispose Hazardous Materials Responsibly

Hennepin County operates drop-off facilities in Bloomington (1400 W. 96th St.) and Brooklyn Park (8100 Jefferson Highway) for hazardous waste and problem materials.

Eden Prairie residents may also bring hazardous waste to the Environmental Center in Chaska (116 Peavey Circle).

As you prepare for colder weather, consider a few options to conserve energy and save money:

• Schedule routine service for your heating system
• Schedule a visit with the Home Energy Squad® 
• Turn down your thermostat and lower the heat on your water heater
• Only run washing machines and clothes dryers with full loads
