Orchard Yields Fruit for PROP
Behind the Senior Center, a small grove of fruit trees is making a big difference. Thanks to the center’s staff and community volunteers, this hidden orchard produced a bumper crop of plums this year—170 pounds of fresh fruit that were harvested and donated to the PROP food shelf to help neighbors in need.
Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) highlighted the effort in a recent article titled "Picking plums, feeding neighbors."

Registration for Fall Migration Tour Ends Oct. 13
Join us for a wildlife migration tour! Start with coffee and a muffin before meeting your wildlife tour interpreter. Observe waterfowl, raptors, shorebirds, tundra swans, eagles, ducks and geese as they travel south from their summer nesting areas. Bring your binoculars! Enjoy lunch then explore the Onalaska Upper Mississippi River National Fish & Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center with interactive exhibits, seasonal wildlife information and the River Walk, where you can “walk on water” and see below the river’s surface.
