Today Chief Matt Sackett administered the oath of office to the department’s newest police officer, McKenzie Mohlencamp.

Officer Mohlencamp graduated from Coon Rapids High School and continued her education at Upper Iowa University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. She then went to Hennepin Technical College to earn a law enforcement certificate. She has worked as a part-time Community Service Officer for the EPPD since June 2024.

Officer Mohlencamp joins 26 other current EPPD officers who also once served as Eden Prairie Community Service Officers.

She will spend the next 3-4 months in the department’s field training program before patrolling on her own.
