Earlier this year, the department secured a state grant to hire a second social worker to support the EPPD.
Our first social worker, Molly Mitley, has worked in Eden Prairie since 2022. Both positions are jointly funded between the City and Hennepin County. We’re happy to announce that our newest social worker, Caitlin Hurley, started last week.
Caitlin has served as a social worker since 2014, serving clients at the Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services and the MN Psychoanalytic Society and Institute’s Psychotherapy Center. She worked at Methodist Hospital for seven years before starting as a senior social worker for Hennepin County in 2023. While working for the county, Caitlin served the communities of Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Dayton, Maple Grove, New Hope, Robbinsdale and Rogers.
She earned her bachelor's degree in sociology of law, criminology and deviance from the University of Minnesota, and her master’s degree in social work from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine.
Caitlin and Molly will work together to connect residents with the support services they need.
Please join us in welcoming Caitlin to the community!
