Officer Rob with students at Eden Lake Elementary
|
|
May 30 is the last day of work for EPPD Officer Rob Geis after 31 years at the department.
Known around the community as “Officer Rob,” he has served in Eden Prairie Schools as a juvenile liaison officer since 2004. Officer Rob has worked in every Eden Prairie school except Cedar Ridge. He spent most of the last 21 years in the community’s elementary schools, teaching CounterAct and getting to know Eden Prairie’s youngest citizens.
Although he loves all of the schools he has worked in, his favorite is Eden Lake as that is where his daughter is a teacher. The connections he has made with students and school staff members have helped make school a safe and comfortable place for thousands of students over the years. Those connections have also helped Officer Rob comfort young crime victims and solve cases.
Officer Rob served as an Explorer advisor for several years and has spent many summers helping to organize Eden Prairie’s Safety Camp.
We thank Officer Rob for his 31 years of service to the community and wish him all the best in retirement.
